Terms of Sale

Last updated: July 2026

Please read these Terms of Sale carefully before purchasing products from Impresix. By placing an order, checking the acknowledgment box, or utilizing Impresix hardware, you explicitly agree to be bound by the terms, disclaimers, and liability limitations outlined below.

CRITICAL HARDWARE NOTICE: Impresix products are shipped exclusively as open-component engineering sub-assemblies. Successful deployment requires advanced manual hardware assembly, electrical evaluation, and user-integration of external display components.

1. User Assembly & Void-on-Solder Policy

All printed circuit boards (PCBs) undergo rigorous functional testing and firmware verification prior to packaging and shipment. Due to the inherent variables of manual hardware integration and user assembly, our return policy operates under strict boundaries:

2. Assumption of Technical Risk

By purchasing an Impresix sub-assembly module, the buyer affirms they possess proficient electronic soldering skills and fundamental electrical engineering knowledge. The buyer assumes 100% of the risk associated with component handling, thermal application, pin alignment, reverse-polarity connection errors, and static electricity mitigation during assembly.

3. Limitation of Liability & Property Damage Waiver

Impresix hardware operates on low-voltage USB power (<5W). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Impresix be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from contract, tort, or strict liability, including but not limited to:

4. Free Software & Firmware "AS-IS" License

While the hardware microcontroller arrives preloaded with initial operational firmware, any associated software applications downloaded from the Impresix website are provided entirely for free. This software is delivered strictly "AS-IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Impresix assumes zero liability for system errors, data corruption, or software incompatibility, and caps any remedy to standard code revision patches or public file updates.

5. Intended Use and Compliance (FCC Part 15)

Impresix hardware modules are engineered, marketed, and sold exclusively as industrial, laboratory, or engineering evaluation test equipment. Pursuant to FCC Title 47 CFR § 15.103(c), this hardware is classified as exempt testing equipment and is not subject to formal equipment authorization testing [1.2]. It is not intended for consumer retail deployment, medical devices, life-support hardware, or critical aerospace controls. The buyer assumes full legal and regulatory responsibility for localized radio frequency shield compliance and safe system integration.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Sale and all transactions with Impresix shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms must be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Santa Clara County, California.
